The Bright Advantage
eSolutions offers OEMs high-volume EV and hybrid control solutions focusing on system
design, development and integration. Our custom-designed control systems
communicate intelligently with other subsystems, integrating existing
powertrains with new electric motors and control algorithms. Flexible and
robust for production, eSolutions control systems are proven through a detailed
verification and validation process.
Component Selection
eSolutions
engineers will analyze your system using simulation tools to identify the components
best suited to your unique volume production application, including electric
machine selection, battery pack sizing, thermal-system components and
inverters/converters. We can also
assist with sourcing these components through our established supplier base.
Control Method
Development
eSolutions control strategies for EV and hybrid operating modes are modeled and
optimized through total system simulation. Vehicle control algorithms are
implemented using model-based controls and code-generation tools that provide
quick and cost-effective design and development cycles.
Calibration
& Optimization
Our calibration tools are developed in parallel with the control models to
provide a robust system. Starting with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation
and ending with embedded controls tested on the Bright Automotive chassis dynamometer,
our system controls are optimized and refined through a robust development
process.
Performance Testing & Evaluation
We perform all required system testing, including initial vehicle calibration, traction
system motoring, regenerative braking and limited traction conditions using
road load and federal drive cycles.
